Shea Argan Oil has a light consistency that makes it suitable for repeated daily use. It has a pleasant floral aroma. No fragrances or preservatives have been added and it is 100% pure. It is supplied in a portable sized bottle with a pump mechanism for quick and easy application on the go. A squirt of Shea Argan oil is great for quick re-application in dry, air-conditioned air and helps prevent wrinkles and itching of dry skin as it absorbs quickly into the skin. The high tocopherol (vitamin E), essential fatty acids, plant sterols, antioxidants, polyphenols and carotenoids help with healing, and deep moisturising.
Note : You may find some residue at the bottom of the bottle. This is normal as the oil is filtered naturally through a clean white cotton cloth. Check the Usage section for suggestions on how to use Shea Argan Oil to your best advantage.
Applications
Face and Skin
Argan Oil is known as nature’s ultimate anti-aging product. It is extremely high in Vitamin E, essential fatty acids, antioxidants, sterols, polyphenols, and carotenoids. For basic skin care, Argan Oil can be used as a daily moisturizer and as a makeup base. It is also useful for skin conditions such as: psoriasis, eczema, dry skin, contact dermatitis, inflammation, acne, wrinkles, scarring, minor burns and cracked heels. It can also be used as a deep massage oil for arthritic and rheumatic conditions in which joints are damaged.
Argan Oil is good for both dry and oily skin. It helps to regulate (reduce) the production of sebum from the sebaceous glands (oil producing glands), in the skin. This will result in reduction of acne. In addition, it is ideal to soothe skin after waxing, laser treatments, chemical peels and tattooing. It is also great for moisturising dry feet and heels.
Rejuvenation of Hair
Excessive washing, styling and colouring hair tends to make hair dry, wiry, and fibrillated. The exceptionally high level of Vitamin E helps to moisturise and smoothen hair that needs help. High unsaturated fatty acids help to strengthen protein bonds in the hair shaft and soften fibrils so that hair is smooth, strong and manageable. Argan Oil also regulates oil production in the sebaceous glands, aiding with issues of dry or oily scalp.
Nail Conditioning
Excessive exposure to water makes nails prone to shredding when filing. Argan oil helps repel water. Detergents, nail polish remover and working in dry environments deplete nails of their natural oils, thus making them brittle.
The high content of Vitamin E, *F, and essential fatty acids, in Argan Oil are absorbed into nails and thus help improve the toughness and flexibility of nails making them less prone to breakage as well as moisturise dry crinkly cuticles. .
(*Vitamin F isn’t actually a vitamin. It’s made up of two kinds of polyunsaturated fatty acids. These fatty acids are alpha-linolenic acid (ALA) and linoleic acid (LA). ALA is an omega-3 fatty acid, and LA is an omega-6 fatty acid)
It is always good to do a patch test on the arm before using a new product no matter how gentle it is (for example, the face). This is a standard precaution as it is possible to be allergic to any soap or cosmetic or skin care product. We are all different, and we may not know of any sensitivities we may have to certain ingredients. If your skin becomes irritated or develops a rash, discontinue use.
