SHEA soaps are handmade, and made well, with good and safe ingredients, to ensure you get the best. Shea butter has always been known to be very moisturising and good in protecting the skin. Glycerine is a humectant that helps keep skin moisturised. Oat protein is wonderful with moisturising and helping soothe irritated the skin. To take this one step further, SHEA studied and decided to add Activated Charcoal to our already amazing Shea Butter soaps to make them even better as activated charcoal helps draw out toxins and bacteria from the skin.
On the skin, Peppermint essential oil is used to relieve skin irritation and itchiness and also helps to reduce skin redness, where inflammation is present. It is used for dermatitis, acne, ringworm, scabies and pruritus and also relieves itching, and inflammation of the skin, while at the same time having a cooling action. It is also great for sweaty and tired feet. As an aromatherapy oil, Peppermint oil is excellent for mental fatigue and lifting depression, refreshing the spirit and stimulating mental agility and improving concentration. It helps for shock, headache, migraine, nervous stress, vertigo and faintness and in general respiratory disorders, as well as dry coughs, sinus congestion, asthma and bronchitis.
We recommend that you refer to the essential oil section of this website for more information on this essential oil.
Ingredients
Coconut Oil, Palm Oil, Safflower Oil, Glycerin (vegetable origin), Shea Butter (refined naturally crushed), Aqua, Sodium Hydroxide (saponifying agent), Sorbitol (moisturizer), Sorbitan oleate (emulsifier), Oat Protein (conditioner), Activated Charcoal (detoxifier), Titanium Dioxide (mineral whitener), Pure Peppermint Essential Oil.
Usage
Rub soap over body then some on either a wet bath sponge or bath towel and use either to lather up. While at it, you may as well sing you favourite happy songs to lighten your heart and put a smile on your face. Once you are nice and clean, rinse off the lather and dab yourself dry with a nice, soft, fluffy towel.
Allow soap to dry on a well-drained soap dish, like our soap saver soap dish. When the soap becomes too small to use comfortably, wet a new bar of soap and stick them together. You’ll never waste soap this way.
The weights are correct at time of packing. Weight could vary a little due to water loss. Solids will remain the same. Being a handmade product, minor variations in colour and shape are to be expected.
Advise
Showering with very hot water tends to strip more of the skin’s natural barrier than when using ambient water. If you hate showering with cold water, try showering with water that has just a touch of warmth.
If you have sensitive skin, always do a patch test before usage. This advice applies to all skin care products from all manufacturers.
