Blending : Tea tree oil blends well with cinnamon, clary sage, clove, geranium, lavender, lemon, myrrh, nutmeg, rosewood, rosemary and thyme.

Massage : As a blended massage oil or diluted in the bath, tea tree oil helps with all respiratory ailments, as well as arthritis, colds, dermatitis, skin infections, scalp disorders, sinusitis, viral infections, nettle rash, and coughs, bronchitis, as well as for sweaty feet. A course of massage with tea tree oil before an operation may help to fortify the body and reduce post-operative shock.

Diffusion : In burners and vaporisers tea tree oil helps with colds, sinusitis, bronchitis and any other respiratory ailment and is also of use to help the mind cope after shock.

Wound Wash : When it is added to the water for washing it has great value to treat abscesses, bed sores, acne, boils, lice, dandruff, wounds, as well as animal or human bites and can also be applied neat on problem areas with a cotton bud, but it might sting a little.

Lice : apply neat onto the scalp – leave for 40 minutes and wash the hair. This must be repeated every second day until the problem is eliminated

Fungal Issues : Such as athlete’s foot and nail infections (paronychia) as well as vaginal thrush and cradle cap can be treated with frequent direct application of a 2.5% dilution of tea tree oil. Please remember that it is a powerful essential oil, and the neat application onto the skin must be done with extreme care.

Safety : DO NOT ingest the oil. Possible skin sensitivity. Always do a patch test on a small area of skin. Keep out of reach of children. If you are pregnant, nursing, or under a doctor’s care, consult your physician. Avoid contact with eyes, inner ears, and sensitive areas. I massage applications, blend with good quality coconut oil or other good quality carrier oils at a ratio of 3 to 5 drops essential oil to 1 tablespoon carrier oil. It took us more than 18 months to come up with a liquid version that was true to the bar version in every way. Once we were satisfied, we set out to improve it with the addition of anti-bacterial tea tree and neem oils to enhance it’s acne fighting capabilities. We took something very good, and made it better!

Regular use will help remove excessive body and facial oils from the skin thus helping control acne outbreaks. Very helpful for teens and those with oily skin and scalps.

Due to its excellent ability to remove thick oils, it is also very effective in removing oily make up from skin and pores. The charcoal (ashes) in African Black Soap helps neutralise body odours.  As it cleanses so well, you may want to remoisturise with a drop or two of our pure argan oil to make your skin feel soft, smooth and silky.

You may notice black ash particles settling at the bottom. This is normal, and proof that the soap you have is genuine African Black Soap made the traditional way. And remember, real African Black Soap is NOT BLACK, it looks like fruit cake, liquified fruit cake in this case.
