SHEA soaps are handmade, and made well, with good and safe ingredients, to ensure you get the best. Shea butter has always been known to be very moisturising and good in protecting the skin. Glycerine is a humectant that helps keep skin moisturised. Oat protein is wonderful with moisturising and helping soothe irritated the skin. To take this one step further, SHEA studied and decided to add Activated Charcoal to our already amazing Shea Butter soaps to make them even better as activated charcoal helps draw out toxins and bacteria from the skin.

Sweet Fennel essential oil has a diuretic effect that help remove excess water and promotes cellulite breakdown. It has a toning effect on the skin, helping with bruises, sorting out overly oily skin and to fight wrinkles in more mature complexions. The delightful sweet herbal fragrance in aromatherapy stimulates the mind and invigorates the senses. In cases of obesity, the fragrance helps promote a feeling of satiety (feeling full)

Historically, the ancient Egyptians and Romans awarded garlands of fennel as praise to victorious warriors because fennel was believed to bestow strength, courage and longevity. It has been used for thousands of years for snakebites, to stave off hunger pains and tone the female reproductive system, for ear aches, eye problems, insect bites, kidney complaints, lung infections and to expel worms. It’s scent adds a sprightly aroma to any room and kills unwanted odours. Fennel can grow up to six feet in height and has delicate, feathery leaves. Fennel is best known for its distinct liquorice aroma and taste, yet its ability to promote healthy digestion is equally noteworthy. Fennel may help support the health of the lungs and respiratory tract and can be added to water or tea to help fight sweet tooth cravings. Fennel is also known for its ability to promote healthy metabolism, liver function, and circulation.

Blending : Sweet fennel oil blends well with geranium, lavender, rose and sandalwood.

Massage : Fennel oil can be used as a blended massage oil or diluted in the bath as it acts as a diuretic, to remove excess water and to start breaking down cellulite. It is also good for dispersing bruises, livening a dull complexion, clearing an oily skin and fighting wrinkles in mature skins. It is also useful for removing cellulite.

Diffusion : In burners and vaporisers fennel oil is used as an appetite stimulant in cases of anorexia, and to boost confidence and mental clarity.

Safety : DO NOT ingest the oil. Possible skin sensitivity. Always do a patch test on a small area of skin. Keep out of reach of children. If you are pregnant, nursing, or under a doctor’s care, consult your physician. Avoid contact with eyes, inner ears, and sensitive areas. I massage applications, blend with good quality coconut oil or other good quality carrier oils at a ratio of 3 to 5 drops essential oil to 1 tablespoon carrier oil. Avoid use if have endometriosis or estrogenic-dependent cancers. Keep in a dry cool place away from direct sunlight.
