Glycerine is a humectant that helps keep skin moisturised. Oat protein is wonderful with moisturising and helping soothe irritated the skin. To take this one step further, SHEA studied and decided to add Activated Charcoal to our already amazing Shea Butter soaps to make them even better as activated charcoal helps draw out toxins and bacteria from the skin.

Long revered by healers, the rosemary plant was regarded as sacred by many civilisations (Egyptians, Greek, Roman and Hebrew) who considered it sacred. Its slightly floral, herbaceous aroma can clear the mind and increase mental stimulation thus often used in aromatherapy. It was also widely used to cleanse the air and prevent sickness from spreading.

Native to the Mediterranean coastline, Rosemary is a shrub that grows up to six feet tall. Its name means “dew, sea” from the Latin words “ros” and “marinus” which refers to Rosemary’s spread along the sea.

Star anise is a native plant of Asia and commonly used in traditional cultures to spice food, reduce intestinal gas, aid digestion, and as a diuretic. It also promotes vitality and strength. It is reported that Star Anise is a key ingredient in Tamiflu. Star Anise is an evergreen tree, 30 feet high, with star-shaped fruit, and it is fragrant but not as strong as anise seed. Star anise’s primary constituent is anethole. In ancient days, Anethole was named for the area now considered Turkey and was referred to as the home of the goddess.

To get the most of your candle, we recommend that it is left lit until an even pool of liquid wax forms on the full surface during the first light up. Place the candle in an area that has minimal draft. Also, to enjoy the beauty of the artwork and maximise the lantern like qualities of the jar, do clean the inside walls when the candle when it is cold.

Wax : Our candles are made with specially formulated premium grade soy wax which results in a clean and even burn.
Scents : We use premium quality IFRA certified phthalate free scents to create wonderful ambiences.
Jars : Our glass jars are extra thick and 100% recyclable and accepted by all recycling centres. They come with screw on covers which we feel are safer than pull off covers which could come off accidently during handling and sending the jar crashing down.
Wicks : We only use cotton based metal free wicks which we straighten and attach to the jar by hand

The three wise men brought the baby Jesus gifts of Gold, Frankincense, and Myrrh. Why would the three wise men bring? Frankincense and myrrh were extremely expensive resins which were used as both medicine, and as Holy anointing oils. Myrrh is mentioned more in the Bible than any other aromatic essential oil. The wise men brought gifts to the baby Jesus which were considered Gifts Fit for a King. And nothing brings out the feeling of warmth and love like this fragrance. This fragrance is a rich combination of olibanum, myrrh, patchouli, herbaceous woodsy pine, sheer musk, vanilla, and floral lilac notes.
